President in the Academic Personnel Manual. The

Sections
of the APM are frequently reviewed for potential revisions to
policy. Please see the following references for reviews or proposed

General
university policies include the Faculty Code of Conduct (APM 015),
the "eight-year rule" for Assistant Professors (APM 133), and
access to academic personnel records (APM 160).
Appointment
and promotion policies cover the appointment and review process
for different academic series, such as the Professor Series (APM
220), and they contain instructions to review committees which
advise on actions in the Professor and corresponding series (APM
210).
Recruitment
policies include general recruitment (APM 500), recruitment from
other UC campuses (APM 510), and removal expenses (APM 560).
Salary
administration policies contain information on general salary
administration (APM 600), range adjustments (APM 610), and additional
compensation (APM 660).
Benefits
and privileges policies cover leaves of absence, including sabbaticals
(APM 740).
